Smart TV Setup

Smart TV Setup

Steve from Pure Digital. Just bought a smart TV and the setup is doing your head in? I'll get it connected, apps working, and show you how to use it in plain English. No jargon, no rushing - just patient explanation until you're confident using your own television. Perfect for anyone who finds technology frustrating.

About this service

I'm Steve, and I help people who've bought a smart TV and found the setup overwhelming. The manuals are useless, the on-screen instructions assume you already know what you're doing, and suddenly watching television requires a degree in computing. It doesn't have to be that way.

I'll come to your home, get your TV connected to your WiFi, set up all the streaming apps you want, and most importantly, show you how to use it. In plain English, at your pace, with no judgement. I've helped plenty of Southampton residents who just want to watch Netflix without calling their grandkids every time.

  1. Connect your TV to your home WiFi network
  2. Set up streaming apps - Netflix, iPlayer, whatever you use
  3. Show you how to navigate and find what you want to watch
  4. Patient explanation until you feel confident

What's included

Smart TVs are brilliant when they work, but getting there can be frustrating. I take the hassle out of it by doing the fiddly setup and then showing you how to use everything in language that actually makes sense.

  • WiFi connection and network setup
  • Streaming app installation and login setup
  • Channel tuning and organization
  • Sound bar or speaker connection if needed
  • Remote control programming and explanation
  • Written notes if helpful to remember later

This service is particularly popular with elderly customers or anyone who finds modern technology frustrating. There's no rush - I stay until you're comfortable using your TV. And if you forget something later, you've got my number.

Why choose me for smart TV setup

The shops that sell these TVs offer setup services but they're rushed and expensive. Your grandkids might help but they'll do it in thirty seconds without explaining anything. I'm somewhere in the middle - I'll do the setup properly AND make sure you understand how to use it.

About 30% of my work includes some element of helping customers with their equipment - not just installing it, but making sure they can actually use it. TVs have got complicated, and there's no shame in wanting someone to explain it properly. Fair price, patient service, no jargon. That's what I offer.
